Fantastically Great Women who changed the world, the musical can be seen at The Leeds Grand Theatre until 3rd March

In a high energy, fast paced production we follow Jade, a 12 year old, who whilst locked in a museum meets great inspirational women from the past.
The ensemble cast play the different characters changing with ease with one minute being Emmeline Pankhurst and seconds later becoming Agent Fifi.
We meet so many amazing women and this production celebrates their resilience and courage as they dare to break societal norms and make a difference in the world.  Whether it be Amelia Earhart flying across the Atlantic solo or Mary Seacole setting up a British Hotel to nurse soldiers during World War I, Jade is encouraged to be who she wants to be.

With strong production values, uplifting music, powerful vocals and comic timing we were kept engrossed for the full 80 minutes.

In a world that is perhaps still grappling with the complexities of the feminist movement, this production serves as a poignant reminder of the invaluable contributions women have made throughout history.

A mere glance at current events in the news reveals the gender equalities worldwide.

We are reminded by Emmeline Pankhurst that currently there are twice as many men than women in parliament today.

Jade who wants to be listened too, is given advice by these great women.  She is told that she will know the right path when she sees it, that she should find joy first and talent will follow and she should be who she wants to be.

Speaking to some ladies after the show they told me that they found the performance to be uplifting, powerful and empowering.
